Based right here in York, Saliva Birds are our latest discovery from our fair city thanks to their personal rock track, Time is Out.

The single takes on the topic of dementia, one that’s close to the hearts of two of the bands’ members who have parents dealing with it. It’s a heavy and mournful alternative rock number delivered through emotional vocals and a captivating composition.

Formed in York in 2022, Saliva Birds turned middle-aged boredom into a raw and angsty mix of garage rock, ’90s grunge and ’70s punk. Now they’re on our radar, I’ll be keeping a close eye out for more of their tunes.
