Hailing from London, rock outfit Cherry i are new to our radar thanks to their latest track and video, Alaska.

The track is only the band’s second release but they’re already displaying and impressively accomplished sound and flair for storytelling. Alaska comes complete with a video, filmed by Ben Pierce, which takes the form of a ’90s detective drama. The theme perfectly matches the eeriness of the music which combines relentless rhythms, off-kilter guitars and characterful vocals. It all adds up to something very exciting.

Alaska follows the band’s debut single Fragile man and explores lead singer Nikol’s battles piecing together her childhood memories of Ukraine and the country’s current struggle against Putin.
