First coming to our attention in August 2024, Moontwin are a dream pop duo consisting of Maple Bee (aka Melanie Garside) and Zac Kuzmanov.

Their track and video, Storm In A Shell, enchanted me with its cosmic rock and philosophical lyrics. Their latest, Doused in Blue, sees them strip their sound back, giving us a dreamy, folksy moment in which the vocal harmonies and poetic lyrics shine. As the track progresses, it builds to a psychedelic crescendo.
Its video makes use of a 1969 video called Seasons by Ivan Ivanov-Vano & Yuri Norstein. The stop motion animation depicting a fantastical journey matches the music perfectly.
