Charming woodland creatures, clever puppetry and toe-tapping songs promise a magical experience for families.
The show runs from Wednesday 4 to Thursday 5 February, with performances at 10.30am and 1.30pm each day. Ideal for anyone aged one and up (or just fans of the books), the 50-minute production delivers a perfect blend of fun and enchantment.
Expect to meet Fox on a mission to find his missing socks, join Pig and Hen for a wonky game of hide-and-seek, and discover what surprise Postman Bear has in store. The team behind Dear Zoo Live and Dear Santa bring their trademark staging skills to this page-to-stage adventure.
Julia Donaldson said she’s “really happy that the Tales from Acorn Wood are now moving to the stage” and believes young fans will love seeing Fox, Bear, Pig and Rabbit brought to life. She adds that “live performance and songs are both very close to my heart,” and expects the show to delight children and families alike.
Acorn Wood has already charmed nearly seven million readers worldwide, with its gentle tales of friendship and fun translated into 26 languages. Now families in York can experience that charm up close.
