The festival continues its ethos of showcasing grassroots acts who have grown with the This Feeling community.
The event has built a reputation as a pre‑summer gathering for fans looking to catch the next wave of artists before they break onto bigger stages. Founder Mikey Jonns says: “We’re really proud of this one. Once again every act on the bill has started off with us in a grassroots venue, the journey from the grassroots to the iconic Bridlington Spa and it makes for the most glorious atmosphere. Tickets are already flying out! Thanks for all your support, we’ll see you By The Sea!”
Friday’s headliners The Lilacs have enjoyed a rapid rise, fuelled by their EP The 395 (To Forever), which sparked comparisons to Arctic Monkeys and The Courteeners. Their live profile has grown through festival appearances at Isle of Wight and Y Not?, and a recent sold‑out headline show at Manchester Academy. They describe their 2026 headline slot as a milestone moment, having first played the festival in 2023.
Saturday will be led by The Clause, whose debut album Victim of a Casual Thing reached number one on the Official Independent Albums Chart. The album has been praised for its anthemic indie rock and groove‑driven tracks, and the band end 2025 with a major headline show at O2 Academy Birmingham. Their appearance in Bridlington adds another significant date to a year of rapid momentum.
The wider festival line‑up spans two days of indie, alt‑rock and punk‑leaning acts. Friday features The Rosadocs, GIRLBAND!, Cruz, The Cavs, The Cases and Hannah Robinson, continuing the festival’s tradition of championing new artists. Saturday brings The Bracknall, Crystal Tides, The Slates, The Velvet Hands, Montello and Long Island, each bringing a distinct sound rooted in the UK’s thriving guitar‑driven scene.
New for 2026 is the Sessions stage, offering intimate performances from Dirty Blonde and Fitzroy Holt on Friday, followed by Breeze and Alright on Saturday. These acts extend the festival’s commitment to breaking new talent, providing a platform for emerging voices alongside more established names within the This Feeling community.
Across the weekend the event will again be supported by long‑time collaborators, with Fenners compering and DJs Jericho Keys and John Kennedy curating the late‑night soundtrack. With music running from the afternoon into the night and accessible ticket pricing, the festival continues to appeal to fans looking for early‑season live music.
This Feeling By The Sea will take place at Bridlington Spa on Friday 17 April and Saturday 18 April 2026.
