The Newcastle indie favourites will revisit tracks from their Mercury Prize‑nominated debut alongside a run of greatest hits, promising a show that taps into two decades of high‑energy, literary‑leaning songwriting.
Their debut album, home to Apply Some Pressure, Graffiti and Going Missing, became an instant scene staple on release, fusing punk immediacy with sharp‑edged pop sensibility. Now, twenty years later, the band are marking the milestone with a special anniversary tour and a full physical reissue. The reissue spans multiple formats, including a 3xLP collection featuring Missing Songs, plus a B‑sides and rarities CD that digs deep into their archives.
Speaking about the anniversary, frontman Paul Smith describes the process of revisiting the album as “like entering a time machine – thrilling, but also a bit scary,” but promises that the material “has more than stood the test of time.” With their reputation for dynamic, emotionally charged live performances, the Leeds date looks set to be one of the strongest nights of the run.
The reissue is available now.
Maxïmo Park will play at O2 Academy Leeds on Friday 20 February 2026.
