It’s quite rare that we get to hear new music from Austria, but if FIO’s latest release Arctic Heart is anything to go by, we’ll definitely be checking out more music from the nation soon!

Arctic Heart open with a gorgeous piano melody, accompanied by FIO’s sultry vocal style, suiting the pop-rock vibe of the music well. As the track continues, more and more elements are added into the mix, including some lovely fingerpicked acoustic guitar notes and a full rhythm section. The chorus is where Arctic Heart really erupts though, seeing FIO’s vocals rise up higher than before, displaying a wonderful vocal range against the heavy, distorted guitar licks. It’s certainly an intense piece of music, but one that is made all the more awesome for it!
