Something that sounds like The Haunted Life of Architecture by Amateur Ornithologist. The new album reintroduces the Sunderland-based band to us after their 2022 appearance on Jane’s Northern Favourites roundup.

Across ten tracks it offers haunting, macabre yet lively alternative rock. It’s a sound that recalls quirky ’90s acts like Space and The Divine Comedy while also serving as a dreamier version of The Decemberists or an approachable Animal Collective. It’s offbeat style and poetic lyrics makes it stand out.
