American folk group Open Road Folk Music have been featured quite a few times on this site, and for good reason!

Peace in this Land is Open Road Folk Music’s latest foray into the folk genre, showing exactly why they’ve become so beloved to us. It’s a fairly quiet and subtle sounding song at first, but there’s a greater depth and beauty that only starts to fully appear after multiple visits. The main instrumentation comes from a pretty fingerpicked acoustic guitar, alongside some haunting harmonica solos that appear every so often, eventually bringing Peace in this Land to a suitable close. And who can forget the lyrics, containing beautiful sentiments that really resonated with me at the moment, due to the current state of the world.
