The York branch of Love Music Hate Racism has announced that their third gig of 2026 will be at the Fulford Arms on Thursday 13th August.

The concert will feature Sleuth Gang – a heavy, piledriving band who fuse visceral, screamed choruses with razor-sharp grime and hip-hop over mountainous big beats. They will be supported by Lost Trends, who mix indie-funk, dance and rock, and PAK who deliver garage punk with jagged guitars and powerful lyrics.

Love Music Hate Racism York was set up last autumn following an increase in racist incidents in York and concerns at increasing tensions in the city As well as challenging racism in the city through the power of music, the organisation’s other main aim is to raise funds for Stand Up To Racism in York.

Both of the earlier gigs, which took place in the Basement at City Screen, sold out and raised a significant amount of money to help campaigning work across York. A spokesperson for Love Music Hate Racism – York said “We are really pleased to build on our successes early this year and are delighted that our next gig will be held in the renowned Fulford Arms – a music venue that is loved and respected across the city and beyond. The bands have very kindly offered their services at no cost so we can maximise the funding directed to Stand Up To Racism. We’re hoping for another sell out so would advise people to get their tickets as soon as possible if they want to hear some great music whilst helping to fight racism in the city.”
