Best known for presenting Radio 2’s weekday mid-morning show and the fan-favourite Dance Sounds of the 90s, Kay is swapping the studio for the stage, with wall-to-wall anthems expected from acts including The Shamen, The Prodigy, Snap!, Underworld, JX and Ultra Nate. He’s joined on the tour by special guest DJ Darren Noguerol.
“The 90s was one of the best loved decades when it came to music,” says Kay. “Britpop and dance music came together to create an energy that the youth of its time attached itself to and created mayhem on the dance floors. Now more than 30 years on… dance music has come full circle, with kids today hearing samples from the tunes that originally rocked dance floors back in the 1990s. That’s why we are taking Dance Sounds of the 90s on the road, to play the greatest hits from the best decade of dance.”
Vernon Kay will play at Scarborough Spa on Friday 6 November 2026.
