Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Garland Kelley has become a firm favourite of ours here – thankfully he’s back with another killer tune titled Reality Fades Away.

By Jane Howkins

One of the things I love most about Garland’s music is the independent spirit with which his music is so acquainted – on Reality Fades Away, he handles the writing, performance and production of the track, which is very impressive indeed! As you might have guessed from the title, Garland takes something of a philosophical look at life here, but the music has an unexpectedly upbeat sound to it, characterised by the simple yet effective main guitar riff. The driving rhythm propels the song forward with great momentum, making for a shiny, indie-pop tune that will get inside your head within an instant!
