West End performer Joe Sleight has been announced as Peter Pan in The Further Adventures of Peter Pan: The Return of Captain Hook, which opens at Grand Opera House York on Saturday 5 December and runs until Sunday 3 January 2027.

Joe returns to the Grand Opera House after playing Eddie in Blood Brothers. His West End credits include Boq in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, and he has played Peter Pan before in a production for Qdos/Crossroads Entertainment.

Joe says: “This time I’m swapping school ties for fairy dust, and stepping into the role of Peter Pan is a real pinch-me moment.”

He joins Tom Lister, known for Emmerdale and for stage work in 42nd Street, Calamity Jane and Legally Blonde, as Captain Hook. Jimmy Bryant returns as Smee after playing Buttons in last year’s Cinderella, and Holly Atterton plays Tinker Bell, with Kirsty Sparks as Ethel Mermaid.

There is a relaxed performance on Wednesday 30 December at 2pm, an audio described performance on 28 December at 5.30pm and a signed performance on 29 December at 1pm.
