Eddie and the Hot Rods Play The Crescent with Johnny Seven

Eddie and the Hot Rods will play The Crescent in York on Friday 13 November, with Johnny Seven in support.

The show celebrates the 50th anniversary of the band’s debut album Teenage Depression, released on 22 November 1976. Original drummer Steve Nicol joins the band’s long-standing present members for a few select shows, and this is one of them.

Emerging from Essex’s pub rock scene, Eddie and the Hot Rods are often grouped with the punk generation and reached the UK top ten in 1977 with Do Anything You Wanna Do, released under the name The Rods. Since the death of singer Barrie Masters in 2019, former bassist Ian “Dipster” Dean has fronted the band.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are £16 in advance plus booking fee. It’s a standing show.
