The first In The City Festival took place over the Bank Holiday weekend, with The Mount At York playing host to acoustic acts on Sunday and Spread Eagle York putting on bands on Monday. York Calling co-sponsored the event, putting some money towards promotional material, all in aid of SASH, the homeless charity. Despite technical difficulties, a few bands were able to play at the Spread Eagle, so we took a few snaps of them in action. Continue reading “In the City Festival”

In The City Festival

On Sunday 30 and Monday 31 August, The Mount and Spread Eagle join together for In The City Festival, a two day musical extravangza right in the heart of York. 22 bands will be playing across the two venues, with things kicking off at The Mount on Sunday and concluding at Spread Eagle on Monday. All have given their time freely in order to run this event as a fundraiser for SASH, a local charity aimed at prevent youth homelessness.
