Fast becoming the top music festival in the city of York, York’s Little Festival of Live Music is now looking for musicians and bands to join them as part of their annual week-long event in late September.
We posed a few questions to Ellen Cole, the woman behind York’s Little Festival of Live Music. The seven-day fundraising extravanganza takes place on Parliament Street between the 18 and 26 September (excluding 21 and 22) and showcases some of the best of York’s established and up and coming musical talent, and delivered to York music lovers completely free of charge. York’s Little Festival of Live Music will be hosting a seven day event at the York Food and Drink Festival from Friday 18 to Saturday 26 September (except for the 21 and 22 September). Funds raised during the festival will go to York Mind, an independent provider of mental health services.
The intimate upstairs area of The Black Swan Inn, Peasholme Green was the setting of York’s Little Festival of Live Music: Unplugged. This acoustic mini-festival consisted of ten acts playing over two evenings. York Calling went along to check out the line-up on Saturday.
