The three events you shouldn’t miss this week.

Tom Stade,
The Duchess,
Friday 19 February, 7.30pm
Next week comedian Tom Stade is coming to York to perform his ‘You’re Welcome’ tour, looking to be a popular show after last year’s 70 date ‘Decisions, Decisions’ tour. Tom has recently been seen on such shows as The John Bishop Show, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Live at the Apollo, so he is definitely worth seeing now as he will probably be performing in much bigger venues soon!

Coquette Presents: Valentine’s Pop-up Cabaret

The Fulford Arms

Saturday 13 February, 8.30pm

Getting into the spirit of Valentine’s this weekend, why not head down to The Fulford Arms for something a little bit different. The cabaret will feature an abundance of acts, from music by the ukulele group Grand Old Uke of York to stunning burlesque by Roxie Royale and Lux De Lioux and belly-dancing from Farasha Albaydaa.

Wednesday 17 February, 7.30pm

West Kirby’s Bill Ryder-Jones brings his minimalist sounds back to York on Wednesday, taking the stage at the fantastically refurbished Crescent Community Venue (formerly Crescent WMC). He’ll be joined by the spine-tingling tunes of Sam Griffiths and band as well as local atmosphere-mongers Wolf Solent. Another cracker from Please Please You.
