The three events you shouldn’t miss this week.

Mouses + JUNK. + Fat Spatula

The Fulford Arms

Thursday 25 February, 7pm

This is likely to be a messy one as Teeside’s Mouses come to town. The lo-fi alt-rock duo have a tendency for gig-induced self-destruction and they won’t be helped by local pop-rockers JUNK. and surf-rockers Fat Spatula. Altogether that makes a hell of a lot of rock. Throw in the frighteningly loud Fulford Arms PA and you’ve got a recipe for beautiful carnage.

Field Music + Wolf Solvent

The Duchess

Sunday 28 February, 7.30pm

Sunderland band Field Music are finally making their debut in York and it’s a show not to be missed. Field Music have a unique sound that is in part pop, indie rock and entirely addictive. Not to mention, they’ve also just released a new album Commontime. Support comes from York local Wolf Solvent.

The Basement
Thursday 3 March, 8pm
Following his recent sold-out album launch show at London’s Moth Club, musician Adem is heading out on a U.K. tour, stopping at The Basement next week. Adem is also well known for his work with post-rock band Fridge as well as Silver Columns, and has shown himself to be an experimental musical enigma, so his show is not one to be missed for those looking for something a little bit different.
