The three events you shouldn’t miss this week.
Blind Eye
Fibbers
Friday 1 April, 7.30pm
Local up-and-comers Blind Eye are playing a headline show at Fibbers this Friday, alongside fellow Yorkonians Sugarking, The Blinders, and The Minster Conspiracy. The band have in the past been featured on BBC Introducing, as well as being tipped as ‘ones to watch’, so this may be one of the last times to catch them before they’re headlining stages!
TV Smith
The Fulford Arms
Saturday 2 April, 7.30pm
TV Smith was the founder of The Adverts; a band with cult success and leaders for the revolution of British punk rock. He had further ventures with other bands and continuously received critical acclaim for his albums. With this much talent and embodying everything that punk represents, TV is not a guy to miss!

John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett – The Final Straw Tour
The Basement
Saturday 2 April, 9pm
Still going after 40 years, subversive punk pioneers John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett return to York this Saturday. Whether you’re intimately acquainted with the duo’s chequered career or never heard of them before, this tour promises to be like nothing you’ve seen before, and potentially never see again.
