York-based company, Procter Goblins, are taking their sophomore theatrical effort to a number of public houses within York city centre, bringing this new and dynamic immersive experience to a variety of people.
“Scenes From A Teenage Killing” takes place at a birthday party (which might not be the right date) hosted by somebody calling themselves Iris. She is desperate to entertain, believing herself to be a great, undiscovered talent. As far as she’s concerned, people either adore her or are jealous. During the piece she confronts some of those dark thoughts and feelings that come along with the things she’s trying to suppress: anxiety, paranoia and depression.
Audiences will be placed in the action as guests at the party. There will be games, sing-alongs, cheesy pop and tired dance routines.
The piece contains strong language, mature themes and moments that some audience members may find disturbing. As such, it is not recommended for anybody under 18.
