Currently on tour promoting her debut album Head Games, York’s own soul and r’n’b diva headlines an all-York lineup at The Crescent, with support from the funky Grinny Grandad and wonderful singer-songwriter Laura Kindelan. Can’t catch her on Friday, she’ll also be doing an acoustic set at The Basement next Thursday.
Fully York Festival
The Fulford Arms
Saturday 6 August, 1pm
What a line-up! 18 of York’s finest bands grace the stage of the Fulford Arms this weekend in a day-long love-in to celebrate all that’s good in our fair city’s music scene. Big hitters RSJ, Boss Caine, …And The Hangnails and Bull will all make an appearance, plus some York Calling favourites The Black Lagoons and Harrison Rimmer. What’s more: it’s free!
Glass Mountain
Wharf Chambers, Leeds
Monday 9 August, 6pm
Up and coming indie rockers Glass Mountain are touring, with a gig in Leeds next week. They successfully released their debut EP Glacial recently, and they are definitely one to watch for the future. Tickets on the door are only £5, so if you want something to do on a Monday night, head on down!
