Martin House Children’s Hospice presents: Centre Stage 2017 – The Heats at the O2 Academy Leeds on Thursday 20th July 2017.
It’s year eight of Martin House Children’s Hospice’s prestigious music competition for young, Yorkshire bands and musicians. In April, three nights of heats and a music industry panel decided 2017’s finalists who are now set to perform at O2 Academy Leeds on Thursday 20th July. Ten stunning acts are competing for a place at this summer’s Leeds AND Reading Festival and winners also win a music video by local film makers, Shot by Sodium.
Since the heats, all contenders have been busy fundraising for the children’s hospice and putting their professional mentoring advice into practice
The line-up (in no particular order): Ørmstons, KRAM, Distorted Sky, In Your Prime, Lucas Watt, Dusk, Avenoir, Sounds like a Storm, Hierarchy, Psycho Spoons……and very special guests, last year’s winners, Faux Pas and Rock School UK!

“We would love to see this event as well supported as previous years. This not only adds to the amazing atmosphere in supporting these young musicians, but it will also raise more money for the hospice. It’s great to see finalists from Leeds, Skipton, York, Harrogate, Wetherby, Bradford and Otley as we, at Martin House, care for children and families from all of these areas!
