Since its inception back in 1991, Back To Basics is a clubbing institution, celebrating an incredible 25 years at the forefront of UK club culture, with a spectacular outdoor celebration in the heart of Leeds at Millennium Square on Friday 28 July 2017.
Back To Basics founder, Dave Beer, has partnered with Leeds City Council and the 50-pieceOrchestra of Opera North, to present the ‘Symphonic Sounds of Back To Basics’, that will feature very special re-workings of some of the most legendary Basics tracks as you’ve never heard them before; with guests appearances from well-known artists and long-time friends of the legendary club from 7pm-10pm.
The good news is that one of club-land’s most important parties doesn’t end in Millennium Square. The official after party will continue next door into the early hours at O2 Academy Leeds from 10.30pm until late.
With special guest DJ sets from artists performing at the main event, including Felix Buxtonfrom Basement Jaxx and Robert Owens, you can be sure of plenty more all-time Basicsdance-floor-fillers, alongside music from the artists themselves. Also appearing will be the Back To Basics ‘All Stars’ who have held long-term residences at the weekly party, many since inception; plus new talent that have joined the family in recent years. Don’t miss sets fromRalph Lawson, Dave Beer, James Holroyd, Tristan Da Cunha, Frenchy and Gas House Kids; spinning many of the seminal tunes that have dominated the iconic dancefloor over more than two decades.
