British singer-songwriter Gus Harrower brings a touch of jazz to the contemporary indie pop.
By Graeme Smith
New track Cell Dilution pairs an ever-present, wandering piano melody with Gus’s smooth vocals. Throw in some subtle electric guitar riffs and some power ballad segments and you’ve got something that feels like it’s redefining an ’80s music soundtrack for the modern age. There is such complexity going on in Cell Dilution it really needs to be heard to be believed.
Gus is getting a lot of attention in his native Scotland and has been drawing comparisons with Tom Odell and Bon Iver. Check out Cell Dilution below.
