Stella Gardner is the elegantly simple new video from Indian folk singer Ratnang Singh.

The video for Stella Gardner features a interpretive performance from dancer Abhinaya Penneswaran. Shrouded in a spotlight she moves to the chilled, mournful story that Ratnang weaves with a delicate voice, stripped-back drums and occasional guitar. It’s a subtle and understated combination of sound and vision that is utterly captivating.

One of seven tracks from Ratnang’s new EP The War, this is one variation on a theme of dealing with pain, growing up and finding comfort in stories. Check out the video for Stella Gardner below.
