Get your glow sticks out, it’s ready to get your rave on with British electro pop artist Chaney.

In new track Dixons, Chaney has resurrected a sound last heard by both circa 1997. Looping beats and vocals with transport you the time of Phats and Smalls and Underworld. The upbeat mix hides a feeling of hopelessness in the lyrics: “if only I could be someone, if only I could be somebody.”

I’m a little in love with this timely renaissance of an underrated genre. Let’s hope Chaney’s rave obsession continues. Check out Dixons below.
