London folk singer Sabhiya returns to York Calling with new single Five Months.

I was first captivated by Sabhiya after hearing her previous single Bird. Her stand out voice and storytelling was captivating. New track Five Months retains the elements I love yet it’s more of an earthy story. Written at the end of a long relationship you can really feel the musical therapy coming through, and the healing. Sometimes trying hard will never be enough.

Sabiyha’s voice is this time backed with swelling layers of strings, percussion and keys and by the end of Five Months you’ll be as captivated as I am. Check it out below.
