You Were Right, Mr Spock is a jaunty sounding track that sounds perfect for a casual dance, but look a little deeper and you’ll find something a wonderfully critical protest song.

Tom Mullen’s latest track features a country music feel to it, but the lyrics tell an interesting tale of Spock from Star Trek coming face to face with the modern day abandonment of reason that some profess to follow with gleeful abandon. There’s almost a satirical feel to things, and this coupled with the joyful tune makes this a very catchy song indeed.
