Empty Hands is the title track of the debut EP from pop-rock band The Royal Turns, with the track apparently being about the search for something more.
By Jane Howkins
That’s certainly the vibe we get from the track, and there is a certain feeling of longing present within the vocals, especially in the catchy chorus. There’s something quite 90s about the music style, but nevertheless it sounds good, with a pop-rock sound that will appeal to fans of folk, country, and singer-songwriter music. It’s actually quite beautiful at times, and the addition of backing vocals on the final chorus gives the feeling of a choir singing in the background.
