Catch Your Eye is the second track off The Caracals’ debut EP In the Dark, which launched a couple of weeks ago. The observant, and storytelling lyrics meld with bouncy surf guitar riffs to make for a razor sharp tune. The track starts with hard hitting lyrics that then transition into a contained and deliberately melodic rock-noise, adding up into a wonderful overall sound.

We’re actually reminded somewhat of the early stuff from the Arctic Monkeys, with the vocals and punchy guitar riffs pushing the music into that sort of style. There seems to be enough here to distinguish the band from their peers though, and we can definitely see these guys getting big.
