Multi-award winning and internationally acclaimed physical theatre company Gecko can be seen at York Theatre Royal from 17 to 20 October with Missing, a deliciously warped journey into the depths of the human psyche.
Follow Lily, a woman whose soul appears to be decaying. She is very successful in life and love but something is missing…
The shadows of Lily’s past invite her, along with each audience member, to consider how far they have strayed from who they are and where they come from in a truly universal theatrical experience.
Since 2012, Missing has toured to Russia, China, Georgia, Malta, Colombia, Mexico, Hong Kong, Macau and across the UK.
In March 2015, during a three week run at Battersea Arts Centre, Missing was completely destroyed in a fire which devastated the Grand Hall. With help from generous support from audiences and industry up and down the country, Gecko managed to completely rebuild the production in just eight days so the company could go ahead with a planned tour of Mexico. Gecko returned to Battersea Arts Centre recently for their first UK performances since the fire to finish the run as part of the Phoenix Season at the reborn Grand Hall.
