American folk singer Cumulus, aka Alex Niedzialkowski, will break your heart in new single Lighter.

Sombre, dreamy ballad Lighter is instantly haunting. Alex’s Niedzialkowski’s vocals are simultaneously charming and disarming from the outset. A steady bass kicks in and we’re away, transported to a washed out yet colourful world.

Alex writes from her world and the pain she has experienced within it, somehow creating her uplifting sound. From her new album Comfort World, Cumulus is definitely an act I’ll be checking out more. I highly encourage you to do the same. Check out Lighter below.
