Glass Mountain to perform in Saltaire in December

HIDE & SEEK RECORDS and THE BOY WHO LEFT HOME TO LEARN FEAR present an evening of stunning live music and projected 3D film, created by multimedia visual artist why isaac? at SALTAIRE SALT BEER FACTORY on THURSDAY 13 DECEMBER.

The night will see live music from Bradford quartet GLASS MOUNTAIN, Leeds’ TALKBOY, Bradford’s LELO and Leeds-via-Dubai’s why isaac? accompanied by 3D film projected throughout this exciting new venue. Taking inspiration from the beautiful, historic area that surrounds the Beer Factory, why isaac? has been commissioned to create one-of-a-kind art that reflects Saltaire in a new light.

Since their uncompromising seven-minute debut release Glacial, Bradford quartet GLASS MOUNTAIN have built their growing reputation on beautifully crafted, often sorrowful music. Named after a David Hockney artwork, the band’s approach is inspired by the spirit of hip-hop where anything can – and should – be included. Drawing on influences as far and wide as The Cure, Sigur Ros, Low and The Beach Boys, their sound is both refreshingly beautiful and simultaneously exhilarating. A hard combination to pull off but GLASS MOUNTAIN manages it, though, in spades.

Leeds based six piece TALKBOY combine their playful indie rock with captivating melodies and layers of vocal harmonies, shifting between euphoric walls of noise and intimately sweet soundscapes.

Melancholy dream pop since 2017. With a gift for delivering striking songs that juxtapose melancholic lyrics and themes with uplifting, dreamy pop music, LELO’s sound combines his sensitive vocals with densely layered keyboards, delicate guitar lines and hypnotic beats. LELO are appearing as a four-piece band. For fans of Slowdive and Postal Service.

why isaac? is the artistic outlet of multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Daniel Dixon. A beautiful mix of loop-based pop music and trippy 3D artwork, why isaac? combines the youthful flavours of shoe-gaze indie with heartfelt 60s romancing. Generated in Dubai [UAE] and based in Leeds [UK] why isaac? offers a nostalgic and optimistic soundtrack to rain days.
