We last featured Brighton pop artist Lydia Evangeline way back in January so it’s pleasing to see she’s back with a new single, Down.

From the outset, Down is charged with defiance but its when the chorus kicks in when this track really holds its own. An explosion of drums, synths and Lydia’s voice greets the listener as she belts out: “now I think I’m going down. Now I think I’m sinking.” It’s a simple refrain but delivered so well.
