Experimental Swedish outfit Pikes brings us ’80s power pop via ’10s electronic indie with new track Pterodactyl 1994.
By Graeme Smith
It’s not often that a musician will compare growing up in a small town to the feeling of being a dinosaur but Pikes has done it in a big way in Pterodactyl 1994. With a big chorus, packed with electronic and orchestral sounds you can feel yourself taking wing when you’re listening. Crisp, emotional, Bon Iver-esque vocals deliver the metaphor and it will really get you in the feels.
The track has been released today and you can check it out below.
