The Slow Readers Club come to Wakefield next month

The Slow Readers Club are a Mancunian four piece, and they’re heading to Warehouse23 in Wakefield on March 13th.

They ended 2018 with a sold out UK tour, including their biggest headline show to date at Manchester 02 Apollo, as well as London’s Scala and Glasgow Art School. The band’s Build A Tower album was released in May 2018 and entered the UK chart at number 18. The album includes singles Lunatic, You Opened Up My Heart, Supernatural and live favourite On The TV, all of which aired on BBC 6 Music, Radio X and XS Manchester, championed by Chris Hawkins, Steve Lamacq, John Kennedy and Clint Boon amongst others.

The Slow Readers Club also drew huge crowds at festival appearances across the summer in the UK and wider afield, including slots at Kendal Calling (Main Stage), Head For The Hills (Headline), Liverpool Sound City, Neighbourhood (surprise guests), Beautiful Days Devon, Stag and Dagger Glasgow, Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg, Kaltern Pop (Germany), plus Chinese festivals in the shape of Strawberry Festival (Hangzhou) and SOTX (Beijing).
