The Chainsmokers need no introduction, having stormed the charts with their own brand of dreamy-pop. They’re back and new track Call You Mine is a hark back to their origins.
By Graeme Smith
In Call You Mine, the duo team up with American singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha. It was Bebe’s track I Can’t Stop Drinking About You which was one of the first tracks The Chainsmokers have ever remixed, so it’s something of a reunion for the three of them. As for Call You Mine, it’s everything you would expect from The Chainsmokers, chart friendly pop with expanses of dreamy synth punctuating the vocals. The chorus is memorable, subverting pop ballad cliches. I can definitely see this playing well on the radio.
