Gabriella Cilmi is a singer-songwriter from Australia who continues to build on her breakout success as a teenager. Case in point is her new solo track Ruins.

Ruins is a soulful, folksy track with lazy, feel-good bass and melodic piano. Gabriella’s distinctive gravelly voice leads a singalong chorus before the electric guitar takes over. This is songwriting at its most accomplished.
Gabriella had her first taste of success as a teenager through her single Sweet Like Me. Since then she’s performed under various guises. I even had the pleasure of catching her live at The Duchess a few years ago while performing as All Kings And Queens with her brother Joseph. Her new music marks a different direction, but not an unwelcome one. Check out Ruins below.
