Chops & Mash are an Australian singer-songwriter duo who’s delicate new song Castle High has enchanted us.

There feels something fantastical about the arrangement of Castle High, a downbeat ukulele provides low-key support for vulnerable and isolated vocals from the beginning. It’s well over a minute before the arrangement ramps up but even then with only the simple addition of bass. Chops & Mash has adopted the less is more philosophy and run with it in Castle High.

I’ve not come across a lot of music like the stuff Chops & Mash are putting out and it’s to their credit that they can sound so unique yet so pleasant. Check out Castle High for yourself below.
