New track Earl Grey really caught my ear with it’s unusual structure of competing musical elements that become a little trance-like at the track goes along. Jelani’s vocals never break flow even as it feels that the drums and keys are trying to throw him off. The song tells the story of lacking focus but, in doing so, really draws yours.

At nineteen years old, it feels like Jelani is prepared to rewrite the musical rulebook for a new generation. Through Earl Grey he’s created a thought-provoking and mesmerising piece. Check it out below.
