Sarah Harmer is a Canadian indie pop artist who’s new track St Peter’s Bay is full of folky nostalgia.
By Graeme Smith
Sarah has an easy storytelling side, full of imagery and understated emotion. In St Peter’s Bay mixes memory with an environmental message and it really does transport you to the Canadian winter. Her voice is accompanied by piano, guitar and strings to great effect.
Sarah combines her music with environmental activism and it feels like she could well be one of the voices of a generation. Check out St Peter’s Bay below and, if you like it, look out for her new album Are You Gone released 21 February and a possible UK tour in the summer.
