Evran is a Norwegian indie rock artist who finds his inspiration in the most unexpected of places in new single Villains In The Night.

If Villains In The Night has something of a retro fantasy feel to it, it’s because Evran took the initial inspiration for the melody from the Legend Of Zelda’s dungeon theme. I guess that’s what really sold the track to me and it certainly is one that transports you to a different place, feeling cinematic and ’80s in its arrangement, topped with melancholic and emotional vocals.

Villains In The Night is the second single for Goran Skage’s Evran project and it’s a hell of a start. I can’t wait to see what he does next. Check out the track below.
