Bourn is a Newcastle-based indie pop artist who writes feel good tracks akin to Carly Rae Jepsen and HAIM.

There is just something overwhelmingly infectious about Bourn’s new track Thinking About You that I felt compelled to share it. On its surface, it seems a simply-constructed track, but there is a subtle complexity to the arrangement, the highlight being the breathy, emotive vocal delivery in the chorus. It’s has a classic pop feel that feels nostalgic and fresh simultaneously.

Based in Newcastle, fans of X-factor winner Matt Cardle may recognise Bourn’s name as she’s previously supported him on tour. I’m only coming to her music now, but I’m loving what I’m hearing. Check out Thinking About You below.
