Ozferti is a Belgian grime artist whose new collaboration with Ethiopian artist Endris Hassen has a distinct Afrobeat feel to it.

Ta Na Da is layered track, mashing up traditional and futuristic elements inspired by the Afro-Sci-Fi world Nubia Nova. It works really well and the track would have been right at home in the soundtrack of The Fifth Element had it been released back in the ’90s.

Ozferti, real name Florian Doucet, has been in the music game for some time collaborating on various projects incorporating musical elements from around the world. He’s been drawing on Ethiopian influences since 2016 and I’m a little gutted this is the first I’m hearing his work. Better late than never! Check out Ta Na Da below.
