MishCatt is a singer songwriter from Costa Rica whose acoustic guitar and fragile vocals caught my ear.
By Graeme Smith
Her new song is an acoustic version of her track Midnight Sun, with her vocals taking centre stage accompanied simply by a gently plucked acoustic guitar. There’s beauty in simplicity and MishCatt’s vocals delivery hits its most compelling during a lightly emphatic chorus.
MishCatt, real name Michelle González, found her fame with her former band Patterns before launching her solo career. This is the second single of her new EP The Real Pavo, released three years on from her debut. It’s a welcome return and a welcome discovery for us. Check out Midnight Sun below.
