Scalatrax is an Swiss experimental drummer who created his far-eastern inspired new track Budhas Rhythm from captured sounds from around his house.

Budhas Rhythm combines the modern with the ancient. Experimental percussion teams up with traditional far-eastern instruments and, perhaps more weirdly, documentary voice overs. As far as I’m concerned, weird is wonderful when executed well and Scalatrax has executed Budhas Rhythm perfectly.

Scalatrax is a solo project from Swiss drummer and producer Florian Haas-Schneider. He’s a man who certainly knows the rules of good music and how to break them for maximum effect. Check out Budhas Rhythm below.
