Maude Letour is a 20-year-old American singer songwriter whose new track Furniture delivers visual storytelling through song and reminds me a little of The Blow.

Furniture opens in an almost bubblegum pop way but one with layers of irony. The twee-ness combines with delightfully visual storytelling in the lyrics that has the listener feeling everything Maude is feeling. It feels like Maude is taking some cues from the likes of Taylor Swift in the theme, but I also get flavour of early ’00s indie pop like The Blow.

Now based in New York City, Maude had an international upbringing including spells in London, Sweden and Hong Kong. She released her debut EP last year and is now setting about reinventing pop. Check out Furniture below.
