After a couple of years, Cat Pierce returns to our blog with new collaboration with James Levy, Regret.

In May 2018, I discovered Cat Pierce through her track Sometimes You Lose. Her return is something of a different beast from that modern, downbeat electro affair, with Regret having a very retro feel. The other half of the duet, James Levy, has a Serge Gainsbourg-esque style, and Regret could have easily been heard on Top of The Pops at some point in the ’60s. It’s also very reminiscent of the album that Mark Lanegan and Isobel Campbell put out in the early ’00s that I loved.
I think Regret is a track that will find fans of all ages. Check it out below.
