We Were Young is warm and bright, from the opening guitar melody to the emotive vocals to its coming-of-age lyrics. The Flusters take their cues from ’80s power pop like Tears For Fears and Echo And The Bunnymen and, in We Were Young, they recreate the sound with their own modern twist.
