Rubber is the new track from American singer songwriter Ruston Kelly which combines poetic and literary lyrics with good old-fashioned Americana.

The thing that really caught my attention about Rubber was the imagery of the lyrics. Consciousness and emotion becomes something concrete through Ruston’s descriptions. The video helps. Set in a gloomy room, a pair of dancers personify his words. Underpinning his words is a picked acoustic guitar and keys arrangement.
Rubber is taken from Ruston’s new album Shape & Destroy which will be released 28 August. Check out the video below if you enjoy the likes of Bon Iver or frankly anything with some genuine heart and soul.
